EPILOGUE

Besides this you know what hour it is how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armour of light. Romans 13:11,12.

I trust that the reading of the wonderful record of Godís blessing to Merseyside has not just been an interesting reading, but also an encouragement to seek God afresh in our present day for a visitation of His grace, like he has done in the past. God has not changed, and I believe he is only too willing to pour out his blessing on us once again. It will not come, however, by wishful thinking, but as men and women commit themselves to vigorous prayer and with the same degree of earnestness that was existent in the early church, and in various times of revival, such as has been recorded in this booklet. I believe that God is waiting for his people to rise up and take the land and retrieve it from the powers of darkness who are dominating the present rulers of our land. As someone said in a recent prayer meeting that I attended God is not holding our political leaders to account for the present state of moral decline, but the church, which means each one of us. I believe, therefore, that we need to put aside our personal agendas and come together with a new sense of desperation in seeking Godís mercy for our present day, and with a similar passion that the people of God had in past generations. There are no longer any options left to us, because if we donít seize the opportunity now open to us then I believe that we will enter a period of spiritual darkness hitherto not experienced in our land. It is, therefore, up to each one of us to ascertain what part we should play as we make ourselves available to God in these days so that he may have mercy upon us and bring revival once again to our land.
